Holistic Addiction Recovery Professional

About

What leads to addictive behaviors? Our society is gradually changing its perspective on emotional imbalances and mental health issues, with less stigma. Mental health challenges and disorders like anxiety, ADD/ADHD, bipolar depression, borderline personality disorder, and even addiction disorders are often tied to chemicals called neurotransmitters. Think of your brain as a chemistry lab that produces neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin, and GABA throughout your life. They're important for keeping our brain chemistry balanced and our moods in check.

Embark on a journey through groundbreaking studies highlighting the profound connection between nutrition and nutraceuticals, exercise, behavior, psychology, and mental health. • Understanding Addictions: The Science and Psychology Behind Addictive Behaviors

Understanding Addictions details the philosophy and science behind our addictive behaviors, where they came from and how we can gain power over them. This eCourse is included with the PANACEA Model to ensure healing for those that struggle with addictions or are experiencing the challenges that come from addiction from a loved one. It is an excellent eCourse for professionals that would benefit from an eductional course on addictions in general.

Many of us have a family member, friend or co-worker we suspect is using drugs or abusing alcohol, has an eating disorder or is addicted to pornography, but what signs do we look for? Should we intervene? What is at risk? Whether you are the person with the addiction or dependency, or whether your concern is for a family member and may be experiencing tension in this relationship, this eCourse is intended to offer a holistic and biopsychosocial approach (i.e., psychological, physical, biological, biochemical, emotional, social and spiritual) to provide insight and understanding to the underlying causes of our addictions and behaviors. Thus, revealing our core issues and standard human needs—that every human’s underlying need and desire is for real love, that is unconditional. How do we provide unconditional love for others and still establish healthy boundaries - especially when destructive and compulsive behaviors or addictions are concerned?

Bringing tremendous hope to overcome our addictive behaviors and the self-empowerment that it brings will enable us to build healthy relationships with others that first start with the one we have with ourselves. In this eCourse we will discover how this “real” love needs to come from ourselves, before we ever try to “get love” or pleasure from anything or anyone else.
